About this trip
These are the most beautiful and the largest catamarans on the island called the Apache and the Black & White. The catamarans are identical and take an average of 1.5 hours to reach Klein Curacao. Relax en route on one of the many sun-drenched benches on the outside of the ship, take a seat in the shade on the covered middle deck or lie back in the nets up front. In the nets, chances are you will get wet, but you will be in the front row when it comes to spotting dolphins!
From afar, you can see the beautiful island and the old iconic lighthouse. Upon arrival at Klein Curacao, the crystal clear waters are calm again, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Although the dry way to get to shore from the catamaran is by dinghy, we recommend grabbing a mask and snorkel and swimming to shore! When you enter the water, you will immediately see many colorful fish and if you are lucky you may also see a large sea turtle!
In the afternoon, the crew will be on hand to provide you with an extensive BBQ buffet including our tasty fall-off-the-bone BBQ spareribbs, BBQ sausage, chicken skewers, juicy skirt steak, fresh pasta with bean salad , bread and not forgetting our famous homemade Dutch peanut sauce! Enjoy a drink at the open bar with beer, wine, rum, whiskey, juices, soft drinks and ice water.
At 3 p.m. we set sail for Curacao again. The return trip is smooth because we then sail with the northeast trade winds and current. Perfect conditions to start Captains Happy Hour!!! Enjoy fresh fruit and your favorite beverage.
